01Confirm plan and admin access
Custom MCP apps require a supported ChatGPT workspace, developer mode, and the permissions set by the workspace administrator.
02Enable developer mode
An authorized administrator or user enables developer mode under Settings → Apps before creating the Apparently app.
03Check Apparently OAuth readiness
ChatGPT requires an OAuth-capable MCP connection for authenticated calls. Do not publish or use the endpoint as an authless app.
04Create, scan, and test the app
Proceed only when this deployment reports OAuth ready. Create the Apparently app, scan its tools, enable it in a new conversation, and run the test prompt.

Before changing payments/loyalty.ts to redeem purchased points for cash, evaluate the change across every planned launch jurisdiction. Return the legal issue, authority, safer code paths, required licences, approvals, and citations. Do not execute or merge until the route is authorized.
