THIS FILE IS THE SITEMAP. Nothing generates it and nothing else serves it.

Vercel serves public/ before any Nitro route, so this file shadowed BOTH
dynamic handlers for as long as it has existed. Neither was reached; one of
them was "fixed" on 2026-09-03 by someone who had not checked which of the
four sitemap sources was live. There were four:

    public/sitemap.xml served — this file
    server/api/sitemap.xml.get.ts shadowed, kept: see below
    server/routes/sitemap.xml.ts shadowed, DELETED
scripts/generate-sitemap.mjs DELETED — wrote this file with
                                              ORIGIN = 'https://www.smrter.us',
the old domain, and was harmless
only because nothing ever ran it

THE LIST IS CURATED, AND THAT IS THE POINT. Switching to the dynamic handler
was considered on 2026-09-03 and rejected on measurement: it emits ~189 URLs
of which ~165 redirect to /auth/login — 13 of its 26 static entries, all 100
  /gaming-license/<state> and /sweepstakes-laws/<state> pages, and all 50
/catalog/<jur> pages. A sitemap of login redirects is a redirect farm, and
search engines discount crawl trust for the whole domain over it. Every entry
below was verified to return 200 without an auth redirect.

ADDING A PAGE: check it is publicly reachable first —
      curl -sS -o /dev/null -w '%{http_code} %{redirect_url}\n' https://apparently.cc<path>
A 200 that lands on /auth/login does not belong here.

The blog's posts are listed by /sitemap-blog.xml (server/routes), generated
from published posts so a new post is crawlable the hour it is published.
robots.txt and /llms.txt advertise both sitemaps.

  tests/sitemapAdvertisesOnlyPublicPages.spec.ts holds the shape.
